“We are delighted to welcome popular artist Cathy Daniels back to the Arts Centre.   Cathy began painting a few years ago when illness forced her to spend a long time off work.   Inspiration for her paintings comes when she applies a watered down paint wash over a board.   As the paint dries, she sees shapes; mainly people but sometimes ‘quirky’ animals.   Cathy’s original and modestly priced paintings may be seen from Tuesday 10th April to Thursday 3rd May.”

Songbirds is a very friendly ladies group – we do not give performances, just enjoy singing a wide repertoire and welcome those who have never sung in a group before, as well as those who sing well but do not want the commitment of a ‘proper’ choir!

We meet every Monday (except Bank Holidays) at 1.30pm. On the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month there will be piano accompaniment, but on the 2nd and 4th (& 5th) Mondays we will sing along to CDs/computer. Dates will be on The Arts Centre noticeboard.
