February Art Exhibition
Members of Leyland Artists are showcasing their work from the 13th February to the 8th March. They are a group of some 30 local artists aiming to foster artistic talents and encourage people with an interest in art. Weekly classes provide a friendly forum for members to gather and share their interest and experience. Follow them on www.leylandartists.co.uk. Sheila Tearle. 01995 603816.
Garstang Ukulele Group
Our second Ukenanny was fabulous. Three and a half hours of great music and dancing, what more could you want on New Year’s Eve?
But there’s no need to stop partying in January, just book yourself a ukulele band and have a party.

We continue as a ladies group. On the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month there will be piano accompaniment, but on the 2nd and 4th Mondays we will sing along to CDs/computer. We will still close on bank holidays. Dates will be on The Arts Centre noticeboard.
Songbirds is a very friendly group – we do not give performances, just enjoy singing a wide repertoire and welcome those who have never sung in a group before, as well as those who sing well but do not want the commitment of a ‘proper’ choir!
