Garstang Ukulele Group
Ukulele group members were performing somewhere every month, last year and we performed over 50 times in total. In January we’ll be in Forton and Chipping and we are looking forward to some new bookings.
We usually perform for about an hour with a set of familiar songs, a bit of country, folk, easy listening and sometimes rock n roll. There are usually between 12-18 of us at a gig, unless it’s on a Sunday afternoon (our normal practice time) when it might be 30-40.
We charge between £20-50 depending on whether we’re playing for a community or commercial organisation, but we also play free for community fundraising events.
We also enjoy playing in pubs when other musicians can join us in choosing songs from our 2 songbooks. All we need is an invitation.
If you’re a community group, nursing home, pub or charity and you’d like to book the best ukulele group in Garstang, contact Bob Sapey – 01995 604621 firstname.lastname@example.org.
Happy New Year.

Contact: Ann Kelsall on (01995) 606408 or just turn up!
We continue as a ladies group. On the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month there will be piano accompaniment, but on the 2nd and 4th Mondays we will sing along to CDs/computer. We will still close on bank holidays. Dates will be on The Arts Centre noticeboard.
Songbirds is a very friendly group – we do not give performances, just enjoy singing a wide repertoire and welcome those who have never sung in a group before, as well as those who sing well but do not want the commitment of a ‘proper’ choir!
